Womanizer 2GO

A Lipstick style clitoral stimulator

The Womanizer 2GO clitoral stimulator is my first toy from the Womanizer brand. It was kindly provided in exchange for an honest review by Lovehoney. This Womanizer differs from other models such as the W500 and Pro40 in that it only has the one button to control both the power and intensities, rather than separate controls. In addition, the rounded silicone head of the predecessors (and similarly to that on the Satisfyer Pro 2), has been replaced by a more elliptical head. Whether this is just to fit in with the ‘Lipstick’ design or if it indeed improves the functionality of the pressure wave suction remains to be decided.

Novelty design, but who are Womanizer trying to fool?

The box is an attractive co-ordinating Black and Gold. Contained within are the Womanizer 2GO, the USB charging cable, the XL head and instruction booklet. To help keep the lid of the box closed there is a magnetic fastening. I quite like the design of the Womanizer 2GO as a lipstick, as it is not obvious that it’s a clitoral stimulator. It could be mistaken for a perfume bottle. The lid keeps the nozzle dust-free, and sports the cute ‘W’ logo.

The contents of the fancy box

To charge the toy, simply lift the flap that covers the port on the base of the toy. Insert the jack, and plug the USB end into a suitable outlet. The main button will flash green whilst charging, then remain constantly green when fully powered. Charging takes about 2 hours. When the Womanizer 2GO needs recharging, the button will illuminate red. This feature makes it easy to know whether the toy needs charging.

The battery life is good, as I’ve played with the Womanizer 2GO about 3 times before needing to recharge. It perhaps may have lasted even longer, as the LED hadn’t flashed red. I just felt like topping up the charge. I think the total playtime can be up to about 2 hours depending on the intensity it is set to.

Part your lips to apply

In use, this toy is pretty easy to get to grips with, since it only has the one button. To switch on, press and hold for 2 seconds, and the ‘soft start’ mode will turn on. You can then press the button repeatedly to cycle between the 6 intensities before it’ll go back to the ‘soft start’. I like that it comes with two heads; the narrower one gives more pinpoint suction, but I actually think I prefer the broader suction from the XL head.

Regular head on the left; XL head on the right

Personally, I find the Womanizer 2GO quieter than the Satisfyer Pro 2, and I feel that 6 intensities offer all I need to ramp up the arousal through to a leg-shaking orgasm. I must admit, I will quite happily have the intensity at its highest levels, being somewhat of a ‘power queen.’

I do sometimes find turning the toy so that the point is downward towards my vagina helps with the sensation. I’m not sure why that is. Though the Womanizer 2GO is IPX7 waterproof-rated, I’ve not submerged it, as it seems a bit unnecessary given that the silicone nozzle can be easily removed for cleaning. If I want to clean inside the chamber, I can just use a cotton bud soaked in toy cleaner.

The Womanizer 2GO has two head attachments, is IPX7-rated, and uses pressure wave technology.

I think this toy is an excellent addition to my collection, and as the first Womanizer I’ve tried, I think I can say that despite the price tag, it beats the Satisfyer Pro 2 in terms of orgasm-capability and noise levels. I also think the quality seems better, and sometimes it really is a case of you get what you pay for.

Satisfyer Next Generation Clitoral Stimulators Part 2

Penguin Pro Next Generation

More like a ‘penguin’ than the original model, this cute black and white silicone toy is black and white. ‘He’ sports an adorable pink bow tie. I was offered the opportunity to test the Pro Penguin Next Generation, by Satisfyer, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

How the Pro Penguin Next Generation differs from the Pro 2 Next Generation

The suction aperture is different from the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation in that the silicone edge is thinner, and it is more squared in shape.  It also has the lower and higher intensity dual-function button. On the Pro Penguin Next Generation , this is represented by the 2-wave and 4-wave buttons respectively.  The main difference is that there is no separate power button. In addition, the buttons on the Pro Penguin Next Generation are on the front of the toy. They appear on the rear of the handle on both the original Pro 2 and the Pro 2 Next Generation.

Another difference is that the Pro Penguin Next Generation is mostly silicone. The Pro 2, meanwhile is an ABS plastic body/handle with silicone head and buttons. The head on the Pro Penguin Next Generation is also slightly more angled than the Pro 2. This may mean a slight flex of the wrist which could aggravate joint problems in users who suffer mobility issues. The fact that the button is located on the front of the toy makes it slightly easier to operate than the Pro 2 Next Generation. I can use my thumb to press the increase and decrease functions. With the Pro 2 Next Generation, I find this slightly trickier, as it is more of a stretch for my stubby digits.

Functionally similar to the Pro 2 Next Generation

The pressure wave suction technology is the same as for the Pro 2 , and both the Pro Penguin Next Generation and Pro 2 Next Generation have 11 intensity settings. The Penguin Pro Next Generation charges via its magnetic USB cable, akin to the Pro 2 Next Generation. The Pro Penguin Next Generation is slightly quicker to charge, taking about 1.5 hours. It can be operated for about the same amount of time. Though funnily, the manual states this as 90 minutes (underneath the 1.5 hour charge time). Maybe it’s just a psychological trick to make you think you’re getting more run-time than ‘down-time.’ It did make me smile though. Whilst charging, the button will illuminate and flash. The illumination remains constant once the toy is fully charged.

Suck it and see

With my little Pro Penguin Next Generation ready to suck, I parted my labia and sited the head over my clitoris. To switch the unit on, simply press and hold the 4-wave intensity button for 2 seconds. This will also switch the unit off. The aperture is wide enough to give reasonably broad clitoral suction. The suction stimulates and engorges the erogenous tissue of the clitoris without being ticklish or too strong.

Being able to dial up and down through the intensities means you can edge play (prolonging the pleasure). Alternatively you can treat yourself to multiple orgasms. Unlike with some bullet vibrators that can be too much stimulation for a clitoris recovering from orgasm, the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation (and its peers) can help you tip over the edge into another orgasm. Sweet!

Maintenance

Cleaning the Pro Penguin Next Generation is a doddle. Simply remove the silicone head and wash with warm soapy water, then leave to air-dry. If you wish to clean the main unit, it can be wiped over with a cloth and sex-toy cleaner. A cotton bud can be used to clean the nozzle. Although the unit is waterproof, I’m not sure I’d submerge it completely. But you can take the Pro Penguin Next Generation in the bath or shower, if you so wish.

Final Thoughts

The Pro Penguin Next Generation is a cute toy, that delivers satisfying (oops) orgasms, with ease, and you won’t need batteries either. Bonus. Functionally, it’s hard to say which is the better between the Pro Penguin Next Generation and the Pro 2 Next Generation. So I guess the deciding factor will be the aethetic appearance and the cost. I think the Pro Penguin Next Generation is the nicer looking toy. Not to mention it’s so cute!

Satisfyer Next Generation Clitoral Stimulators Part 1

Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation

I have previously purchased and reviewed the original Satisfyer Pro 2, my first ever clitoral suction toy. Recently, I was offered the opportunity to try a couple of the newer Next Generation range. Naturally for comparison purposes, the Pro 2 Next Generation is one of these tester toys. I will begin by pointing out a few differences between the original Satisfyer Pro 2 and the Next Generation model. The main ones are the noise levels and the removal of the LED light on the rear of the handle. Moreover, the intensity button now has ‘+’ and ‘-‘ functions. Much better than a ‘scrolling through each setting laboriously, then going back to the start’ mode of action.

The Next Generation Pro 2 has omitted the LED light, and has + and – settings to aid selecting the             intensity you require.

The original Satisfyer Pro 2 (left) had a narrower aperture than the Next Generation model (right).

Another difference I noticed, is that the aperture of the Next Generation Pro 2 is wider than the original model. On the Next Generation it measures 18mm in diameter without the silicone head. The diameter is 14mm when the silicone head is fitted. The image shows the difference in diameter, and it means that if you’re hoping to use heads from the original Satisfyer Pro 2 on the Next Generation version, this won’t be possible. So you’ll be putting your hand in your pocket to get out the wallet to purchase replacement heads for the Next Generation model.

Before use, the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation requires a charge courtesy of its magnetic USB cable. This is essentially the same as the predecessor. Charging takes roughly 2 hours. During charging, the power button (sited on the back of the handle) flashes, with a white back-light. Once fully-charged, the button will remain illuminated. This makes it less brighter than the previous Pro 2, and the light has a somewhat softer luminosity.

Lower noise levels, but still with the same intensity.

As stated, when the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation is switched on, it is noticeably quieter than it’s older counterpart. The ‘chug’ (which I likened to an inflatable mattress pump) is practically gone. Not completely, but if you’re brand new to the Satisfyer range, you may not be able to discern that ‘chug.’ The larger oval button sited above the power button has ‘+’ and ‘- ends to make dialling through the levels easier if you wish to prolong a play session and indulge in some edging. Moreover, the intensity levels do not necessarily increase in a step-wise manner. Meaning you may go from one intensity that is slightly too weak, to one that is a bit ‘too much.’

The original Satisfyer Pro 2 (left) had the bright LED light and no ability to go up and down through the intensity levels.

Adding water-based lubricant around the silicone suction cup helps create a good seal around my clitoris. The sensation and intensity of the pressure waves pretty much feel the same as the original Satisfyer Pro 2. I still like the intensity at about 7-8 out of the 11 settings, as my clitoris is no delicate dainty bud. The sucking sensation is pleasant; not too weak to be irritating, but not too strong so as to feel like a heavy-duty vacuum on your clitoris.

I do sometimes find it difficult to orgasm from the pressure waves alone. I find massaging over my pubic bone really helps. By doing this, I can orgasm in about 5-10 minutes. Again, these climaxes are less intense than the ones I would get from a dual action vibrator. They are more ‘superficial’ but that doesn’t make them inferior, it just makes them shorter-lived. Having said that, when I used the Pro 2 Next generation in the shower, I did have a pretty intense orgasm that saw me curling over like Gollum protecting ‘his precious!’

Do you get more bang for your buck?

If you’re new to the concept of clitoral suction toys, then the Satisfyer is a good option. Purely because it is much cheaper than a Womanizer. I have only tried the Womanizer 2GO, but I found it better in terms of clitoral stimulation than the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation. That is my honest opinion, but I cannot say that other sex toy reviewers will agree with me. We are all built differently!
