Kegel Balls

Fifty Shades of Grey Inner Goddess Silver Pleasure Balls, 221g

I’ve had these kegel balls for some time, having purchased them from Lovehoney in May 2016. It’s taken me until December 2016 to review them as for me, they are the pelvic-floor equivalent of lifting a 200lb barbell! In reality, I haven’t lifted anything much heavier than my toddler daughter who is only about a 10th of that weight!

They are packaged in a lovely sturdy black box, embossed with Fifty Shades of Grey on the lid. Also included in the box are a leaflet with instructions and a silver satin drawstring bag. The pleasure balls themselves are two carbon steel balls interconnected by a sturdy silicone retrieval cord with a large chrome-plated ‘tag’ engraved with ‘Fifty shades of Grey’. Despite the weight being stated as 221g on Lovehoney’s page, my Salter digital balance weighed these balls in at 189g. Nonetheless, they still feel mighty heavy compared with my other kegel balls, though the circumference of these balls seems about the same as the silicone Beyond Aroused balls (also from the Fifty Shades of Grey range; see below).

In use, the balls slide in easily with the help of some water-based lubricant (avoid silicone lube to avoid damaging the retrieval cord), and I can hold them in for about 10 minutes at a time. As this milestone is reached, the lower ball starts to drop and slide out of my vagina. Whether this is due to the weight of the balls or the slipperiness when they’re coated with lube, I’m not quite sure, though I suspect at the present time they are simply more weight than my nether regions can handle!

They are reasonably straightforward to clean with antibacterial cleaner/ soap and warm water, and then I leave them to air dry. The metal tag is pretty big and may get awkward to hold in underwear, though I cannot really comment on this seeing as I’ve not worn them much longer than the aforementioned 10 minutes at a time. I plan to persevere with these balls to see how long I can hold them in for, but only when I’m around the house, as I do not feel confident that these slippery spheres will not make an unwelcome appearance. Imagine the damage these balls could do were they to land on my toes, (or even worse, someone else’s) – ouch! No, far safer to stick with the Beyond Aroused silicone balls for kegel exercise whilst out and about!

The Fifty Shades of Grey Inner Goddess Pleasure Balls are available from Lovehoney for £24.99.

First Time Love Duo Lover Kegel balls

I thought I’d try these to tone up the pelvic floor muscles, and with some lube they go in easily. They weigh 45g so are good for beginners to kegel balls. Other reviewers on Lovehoney had commented that the loop-pull can get in the way and be a bit uncomfortable. This can be the case, but with a bit of manipulation it’s possible to get a good fit.

Cleaning is made easier with a small brush to get into the grooves that go around the middle of each ball. The sensation of having them inside is quite nice, and feels good when they’re being pulled out. A fun way to exercise, and interesting thing for your partner to find! The First Time Love Duo kegel balls are available from Lovehoney for £12.99.

Lovehoney BASICS Black jiggle balls

This set of jiggle balls come in a little hard plastic case, inside a cardboard box. The case was snugly wedged in the box, so my eager fingers found it tricky getting it out.

The balls appear sturdy; a tug on the cord between them assured me that I would not end up having to fish a ball out! On first insertion, the balls felt slightly bigger in diameter compared with my other kegel balls. They’re also less forgiving, since they are hard plastic. But with plenty of lube, this did not reoccur on subsequent testing.

Lovehoney BASICS balls felt comfortable to wear, although I only tend to wear them for a couple of hours at a time. The retrieval cord sat comfortably in my underwear without causing irritation. On bending down, I could hear a slight clicking sound, which I discovered to be the inner balls rotating around. I was at home, so this did not cause any embarrassment. If you like to wear jiggle balls in public, these may not be the best ones to use, as the sound could be off-putting.

Upon removing the balls they slid out very easily, on account of the copious secretions they aroused! Cleaning the balls was okay, but not as easy as the FSoG set, due to the dimples in these balls. I found using a tooth brush head with sex toy cleaner the best way to scrub them up.

The plastic case comes in handy for drying and storing the balls after use. A good enough set of jiggle balls for novices or experienced users alike and a pleasant way to ‘warm yourself up’ for your partner. The BASICS Black Jiggle Balls are currently priced at £8.99 from Lovehoney.

Included in the ‘3 for £15 sexy stocking fillers’ offer.

Fifty Shades of Grey Beyond Aroused Kegel Ball Set

I’m a fan of the FSoG range; after trying some beginners’ kegel balls, I wanted to try some intermediate ones. The fact that these balls are interchangeable in the silicone cradle made them very appealing to me.

The packaging is the classy black box I’ve come to love from this range. Included is a little red drawstring bag. The weights of the balls vary nicely. You can go from a minimum of 40g with the two lightest balls, up to 90g with the heavier ones.

I would be intrigued to see if I could use the balls on their own without the cradle. I’ve not done so yet, as I’m too worried about them getting stuck! The cradle is simple to load with the balls and the assembly slides inside my vagina easily enough with some lube. The tag hangs out, without getting in the way, so it feels comfortable sitting in my pants.

Cleaning is simple. Just squirt some toy cleaner and rinse. They feel comfortable when inserted, and get my juices flowing, though I do not orgasm from them. If I add some clitoral stimulation while wearing them, it gives another dimension to my orgasms as I clench around the balls.

My favourite kegel balls so far! Get your Beyond Aroused set from Lovehoney for £29.99.

Fifty Shades of Grey Pleasure Collection

I now own several items from the E. L. James approved Fifty Shades of Grey Pleasure Collection. In addition, I have a couple of items from the Fifty Shades Darker range of toys, including the Anastasia masquerade mask and the Adrenaline Spikes pinwheel. Both ranges of toys appeal to me, as they are classy in aesthetic appearance, whilst also being user-friendly. Moreover, they represent reasonable value for money. Below I describe some of my favourites from the Pleasure Collection.

Drive Me Crazy Glass Massage Wand

I bought the Fifty Shades of Grey Drive Me Crazy glass wand from Lovehoney when on offer with a free Charlie Tango vibrator, so I was really chuffed to get two classy toys for the price of one. I’ve used the wand on three consecutive days, and it is awesome. This is my first glass dildo, and hopefully the first of many.

Fifty Shades of Wand-erful

The design is impeccable, with the six nubs on the length providing sensual stimulation, whilst the head reaches my G-spot easily. The glass wand arrived in a gorgeous box, with a black silky draw string bag, which will do nicely for storing my growing collection of toys. I’m starting to feel sex-mad and insatiable a la Steele, the more I use it.

Six ‘nubs’ to delight, along the wand.

Masks on Masquerade, Twin Pack

These masks were free with a costume purchase. They come in the black card Fifty Shades of Grey packaging I’ve come to know well, and love.

The masks are very striking in appearance, particularly the silver one; my favourite of the two. The build quality is good and both masks are rigid, with ribbon ties that seem attached well. There are quotations along the length of the silky ties, which adds a nice touch.

The fit is not bad, though being rigid they do feel quite hard on the bridge of the nose and brow bone for me. I wear glasses, so I’m not sure they would be very practical for me to wear out to a party. However they are perfectly fine for at home! Lovehoney are currently selling these masks for £19.99.

The Pinch Adjustable Nipple Clamps

These clamps were my first ever foray into nipple ‘pain-play’. The fact that they are silicone tipped and adjustable appealed to a newbie like me.

Squeezy does it!

They arrived in the sleek black Fifty Shades of Grey box, with a satin drawstring bag included. After a couple of practices they were easy to put onto my nipples, and I usually slide the adjuster about half-way to get the pressure I like without being too painful.

These nipple clamps add another dimension to my play time, so I am glad I tried them out. The Pinch adjustable nipple clamps are available from Lovehoney for only £14.99!

Sweet Sensation Bath Oil

The bottle is sleek and black, with the usual Fifty Shades theme. There is a little plastic stopper inside the lid to prevent any leaks in transit, which needs to be removed before you can open the silver top.

On first sniff, it doesn’t smell very strongly of the scents it claims to contain, and actually smelled a bit ‘oily’. However, once dropped into the bath under some warm running water, the notes of sandalwood hit my nose, and were subtle and pleasant.

Be careful not to use too much, as I did once in a moment of heavy-handedness. It will make the tub very slippery unless you have a bath mat, and could make getting in and out of the bath a dangerous procedure.

When used reasonably sparingly, it gives the skin a nice soft feel, without being too oily. Ideal for a relaxing dip, though I think the price tag is a bit expensive for what it is. I think when I buy bath products I prefer something more luxurious and exotic-looking such as the Champneys or Covent Garden ranges. But if you’re a fan of the FSoG range, you’ll love this nonetheless.

Hard Limits Restraints Kit

I got this kit free with a purchase from Lovehoney. The package is gorgeous and chic; a lovely outer box, with the usual FSoG styling and an attractive and useful inner storage box.

The set is easy to put together. The main piece goes under our mattress nicely, and can be hidden from prying eyes. The cuffs are comfortably padded, but that Velcro won’t give an inch, making you a captive audience for your lover’s attention and teasing!

Luxuriously padded cuffs and blindfold, neatly boxed too!

The blindfold is comfortable enough. I didn’t find it too tight though I have a smallish head. This bit of kit was an absolute treat, given that it was a freebie. It is a lot of fun to play with. We have taken it in turns being restrained and teased, leading to an explosive finale for him and I. Both of us will enjoy it for many play times!
